This is a selling role, so you will be calling new schools as well as building on existing relationships with schools and partners.The full job description from the company is as follows:Scoop is a new printed monthly magazine for children aged 8+. Launched in September 2016 and created by a London-based team, it boasts some of the biggest names in children’s literature amongst its contributors. Our aim is to enthuse children about the written word in as many ways as possible. It’s not only about books; it’s about all forms of story-telling told by the very best story-tellers. We are looking for someone to join our team to sell magazine subscriptions into schools in the UK and overseas.We are looking for someone who has a passion for children’s literature and readingThe role will involve making contact with UK schools through cold calling and building on existing relationshipsThe role will involve executing sales strategies developed with the team The role will include contacting and placing stories with education trade pressThe role may also include organising and overseeing events in schools and education trade fairs We would like someone to start immediately to ensure we reach our targets before ChristmasDays: We can be flexible on which days but see the role as 1.5-2 days a weekLocation: The work can be done from home but would include a bi monthly meeting with the publisher and a weekly written reportSalary: £20 an hour with a commission on bundle sales (10 issues or more) to be negotiated.Read more about Scoop here*This role has now been filled.
