27 March: What Next? How to Find Your Next Career

Do you feel as if you're at a career crossroad and are not sure what you want to do next?  Perhaps your previous career no longer suits you after having a family, relocating or a change in lifestyle.  Maybe your industry has changed and it no longer excites you the way it once did.  Or perhaps you just want to try something different.

Whatever your reasons, you are not alone. It’s estimated that up to 46% of Britons will change careers at least once in their lives. The average job tenure has fallen to around four years in the UK so we are changing jobs, and careers, more often than ever.In this friendly and informal workshop, Kath Sloggett, CEO and founder of Runneth London, will use the latest industry research and her expert insights to help you work out what direction to take next.  Always focused on action, Kath will also equip you with practical tools and tips to help you take the next steps towards a new career. This workshop will help you to:
  • Get specific about the type of role you want – and what you don’t want
  • Identify the obstacles you might face, with advice on how to overcome them
  • Understand how to get your next job, and where to look for suitable jobs
  • Devise a mini action plan with your concrete next steps

The ticket price includes a hot drink. As Hugo’s is a restaurant, respectfully we ask that you do not bring your own food or drink on to the premises. To ensure you get the most out of the workshop, please make alternative childcare arrangements.
