The Fitzrovia Partnership is seeking a flexible/part-time Sustainability Projects Manager to help create a 'Green' Vision for Fitzrovia.Working with local businesses, partners, councils and agencies, you will source relevant funding and engage stakeholders to help deliver sustainable initiatives such as the FitzPark (pocket park), cycling, eco-wildlife, pollution green screens and more.This role provides a fantastic opportunity for someone with expertise in sustainability and green initiatives to make a real and lasting impact on this area.The Fizrovia Partnership is a Business Improvement District (BID), in which local businesses have invested together to improve their local area. - Create a ‘Green’ Vision for Fitzrovia
- Create and deliver possible interventions with partners, such as air quality anti-pollution green screens, AQ education for employees, cycling initiatives, eco-wildlife
- Have knowledge of Transfer Partnerships and how this may link into public sector and education, and T-Charge and ULEZ for 2019 and the possible impacts on businesses.
- Build relationships with LB Camden, TFL, GLA & CRP relevant officers and members
- Source/create relevant funding streams from EU, GLA, CRP, LB Camden, Carbon Trust, etc
- Coordinate a successful SUdS initiative for Fitzrovia
- Further develop BID’s initial pocket park (FitzPark) initiative and drive the agenda forward
- Be aware of LB Camden’s West End Project and support it from an environmental perspective where required
- Be aware of latest ‘green’ technologies that fit in the business environment
- Manage BID’s sustainable waste and recycling service, and liaise with key users and stakeholders as required
- Define BID’s CSR strategy and help to implement action into the community, utilising existing BID members to support
- Organise member and stakeholder events through to delivery, such as the Air Quality Business Breakfast
- Local initiatives and signpost BID members to external support and funding.
